***ATTENTION*** COUNTIES MAY DISCRIMINATE ON TRAINING FORMAT...IE: NO Online Training Accepted
Check with your County Sheriff to find out before registering for Online Option!!!
The STATE does not have any stipulations currently in the legislation that says Online Training is not acceptable and in fact does mentioned that STUDENTS have the right to choose when it comes to training.
Our Online Course is meant to be used by those who have: disabilities, transportation/travel issues, are under economic hardship and have issues with babysitters etc. that may be needed while attending a classroom course.
The Online Course is an actual recording of a live course taught and has all the same curriculum and info and thus we see no distinction between the two being that there is NO LIVE FIRE required to apply for the STATE (not County) PERMIT.
Every County that decides to discriminate on Online Curriculum will be posted here once we are made aware so that when making YOUR decision (as offered by the state to do so) you choose our Classroom Course.
Most County Sheriff's understand the enhanced learning capabilities of 24/7 access, pause/play/rewind function and the fact that our Online Video Course can be reviewed multiple times compared to a "one time classroom course" but some apparently do not.
*Remember its a community responsibility to ELECT Sheriff's who are PRO CONSTITUTION!
Also, keep an eye on the Iowa Firearm Coalition website so you can see what your State is doing in regards to Conceal Carry Law.
***FYI: There is documented evidence in at least one case (not with our company) where a Sheriff has declined an application because a student used online training. There is apparently a very cost effective "administrative appeal option" that you can get more info by contacting Department of Public Safety (Joe) that allows a JUDGE to overturn the decision and a judgement to MANDATE you are given your PERMIT.***
